Every once in awhile we realize that our life has been too hectic and we've been going too hard. The kids start getting a little wild, and Mom and Dad start praying for bed time earlier and earlier in the day. And we know we just need a way to reconnect. That's when we declare a family game night.
Recently I had to declare a family game night to pull back together. My kids love playing board games so we have a large stock of them. Our choice this night was Scattergories. If you haven't played this one before, you have to check it out. A little wacky, lots of strategy, and a ton of crazy later... we found some balance.
So what if bedtime was a little bit later that night. There were more important memories to be made.
So if you're looking for a way to bring the family together again and it's just too dark to take another bike ride, declare a family game night. You just might find your own balance again.
