How was your date last week? Did you have fun reminiscing overing those wedding albums? We certainly did.
This was any easy one for us as last week was our anniversary. Can you see how I planned the timing on that one? It was fun after nine years to sit down, look at pictures, and really remember how in love we were on that day. So much has happened since then, both the good and the bad, it's just fun to remember who we were then and how far God has taken us.
What about you? How did your date go? What pictures did you reminisce over?
Are you ready for a new challenge? Now's the time for you to make your bucket list! Not just a personal one, but a marriage list. What are somethings that you both want to accomplish personally and together as a couple?
Do you want to go on a mission trip together?
Do you want to see all 50 states together?
Do you have a desire to start an new business and how can your spouse support you?
Is your desire to be the best parents you can be?
Begin listing out those goals that you both want to accomplish. Maybe there's a desire of your heart that you haven't shared with your spouse. Or maybe you've shared it, but they haven't realized how important it is to you. Maybe this is a time you can discuss those deep callings that you both sense and are being led in for your future.
Pick 2-3 that you want to accomplish this year (or take steps in) and begin by praying over them. Are you in agreement on them? Are there any items on this list that give you some hesitation? Why?
This could be a great discussion between you and your spouse. So take advantage of this time and really be open with each other. Hear each other out. Be prepared for some surprises and be willing to be honest as well. Can't wait to hear how this works out for you!
