Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

Who doesn't love a Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie?  I know I do and have a hard time keeping myself out of them.  Hope you enjoy!

Classic Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 1/4 c. flour

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. salt

1 c. butter, softened

3/4 c. sugar

3/4 c. brown sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

2 large eggs

2 c. chocolate chips

2 c. chopped nuts (optional)

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.  Combine flour, baking soda, and salt. 

2. Beat butter, sugars, and vanilla in a large bowl until creamy.

3. Add eggs one at a time.

4. Gradually beat in flour mixture.

5. Mix in chips and nuts.

6. Place on ungreased baking sheet.

7. Bake 9-11 min 

8. Let stand 2 min; remove and cool on wire rack.
