A sweet romance wrapped in mystery... A Heart Set Free has a wonderful way of developing at just the right pace. Renee's positive and gentle demeanor is a breath of fresh air, and although the romance aspect was somewhat predictable, it unfolded in an easy manner. The friendship between her and Jerome played out in a relatable way, with the two truly connecting as friends. And there were several layers of mystery that keep my interest: why Renee's father cut off connection, who was trying to take the farm, why was the mysterious neighbor so reclusive, etc. This book was layered, the characters were well-written, and the storyline had just enough intrigue to make it a cozy read.
Fans of Amish fiction will enjoy this latest edition by Amy Clinton.
