Get Outside Journal {Review}

Get Outside: A Journal for Refreshing Your Spirit in Nature is one of the newest products in the Ink and Willow line.  This compact journal includes not only a beautiful cover and journaling topics, but also a travel log, nature bucket list, and a full section covering nature topics such as clouds, tracks, and constellations.    Different from your typical devotional journal, Get Outside focuses on a love of nature and seeing God in the outdoors.  It encourages stillness and reflection in the natural world.  Journaling topics include such things as:

  • If you could drop your house into any National Park, which one would you chose and why?
  • To date what was your most epic adventure?  What made it amazing?
  • What does the beauty of nature reveal to you about God?
and more!

As homeschool mom, I knew right away that I wanted to check out this journal.  It combines many of the things I love: writing, nature, and Christianity.  However, it's really hard for me to slow down and reflect in my busy mom life.  Get Outside's journaling prompts really forced me to take a deep breath and focus on the Lord.  Each one was just enough to get me focused without being too guided.  Plus I love all the little extra nature pages that help me in our nature study.  It just the right size to pop in my backpack for a hike with the kids and reflect together.

If you're someone who loves nature, but doesn't always take the time to slow down and enjoy...
Or if you're looking for a fresh new perspective on your time in nature...
Get Outside would be a life breathing addition to your next adventure!
