Mickey Mouse Toes

Our Disneyland trip is coming up so quick and I'm just dying to tell the kids.  I've been putting away little treasures, planning surprises, pick up last minute purchases, and considering taping my mouth shut before I blab to the kids.  So in the spirit of this trip, I decided to paint Mickey Mouse Toes.
I found a couple of different ways to make these and I'm sure all you Creative Mamas out there can come up with a few more.  In any case, they are pretty easy and a lot of fun.  Let's get started!

The red is super bright so I started with a base coat and then added NYC Big Candy Apple.  It's a true red color that's perfect for Mickey Mouse.  After the red has dried, you have a several options for the Mickey head.  The first two options involve punching a template from cardstock or index card.  If you have a Micky punch, measure that to your toes.  Mine was too big, but it's worth a try.  If you don't have a Mickey punch, you can create a template with a regular circle punch.  Or there's a third option.  You can use a Q-tip dipped in the black to create the Mickey as well.  That was the best option for me.  Make your Mickey head slightly bigger by lightly swirling the end of the Q-tip.  Cover with a top coat and you're done!

How fun is that?  I've been wearing them with my flip-flops and have gotten so many compliments.  Everyone's really liked them.  What do you think?  Leave me a comment or send me a picture on Facebook if you try them.  They're so much fun!
