Large Family Logistics {Review}

Recently I had the opportunity to review Large Family Logistics by Kim Brenneman.  Kim is also known for her blog by the same name.

Author Kim Brenneman opens her book with the foundation of the Proverbs 31 woman.  Working her way through the chapter, she offers insight in how our efforts can bless our husbands and our households.  Part One sets the tone by putting an emphasis on relationships over tasks.

Part Two of Large Family Logistics works as a well-layed out format tackling every day challenges: the laundry pile, feeding the troops, making time for everyone, homeschooling, family worship, and more.  Brennemen fills her book with practical solutions that are easily accessible by the average mom.  Each chapter is concise offering insight in organizing our time, to-do lists, and households.  All this advice is offered in an attempt to build families that glorify the Lord.

Topics include:
Homeschooling a Large Family
Managing Finances
Establishing Family Devotions
Managing Chores
Creating a Buddy System

For our family, I've found this book to be a great source of ideas.  Don't feel overwhelmed.  There's a lot of information, but it's broken down to be implemented on step at a time.  We've begun using the ideas for family devotions and some of the chore ideas.  In the months to come, we have other areas that we plan to bring about as well.

Large Family Logistics is an easy read and encouraging for all moms out there!
