Jesus Always {Review}

I was first introduced to Sarah Young's devotionals in 2013 when my sister in law bought Jesus Calling for my kids.  Since then, we've picked it up off and on, often using it in our morning time before school.  The older my kiddos get, the more relevant these devotionals are to their life.

So when I had a chance to review Young's newest devotional, I was excited to get my hands on it.  Right away, the author states that this book is all about Joy.  And how many of us couldn't use more joy in our lives?  Especially our kids as they're learning to manage their emotions and navigate life.

Written in a page a day style, the devotional runs from Jan 1 to Dec 31, but could be picked up at any time.  That's what makes this book such a great addition to our morning time.  Although the devotions work around a common theme, it doesn't hurt to miss one here and there.  Each page is written as if the Lord were speaking to you personally.  While this is hard to adjust to at first, it is quite comforting and very personal.  Jesus Always is written to a third to seventh grade audience, but I even find myself learning and growing through this devotional.  With the holidays coming up, this would make a wonderful gift or stocking stuffer.

*Disclaimer: I received a free copy of this book from the publisher.  All opinions are my own.
