31 Days of Savoring: Monday Muddle

Photobucket
It's Monday morning!  Yeah!  A new week and a new season.  I know the calendar said that fall started a  couple of weeks ago, but the weather here just changed this morning.  Rain is in the forecast and I have loaded the beginning of this week with lots of soup recipes.  My smile just couldn't get any bigger.

We had a full weekend.  Saturday morning I volunteered at an event called Walk this Way at Turtle Bay.  It's a health and fitness fair put on by several organizations in our area.  And I got to be a greeter at one of the entrances.  Generally I'm a pretty quiet gal, but I love being a greeter at this event.  It's can be a lot of fun to meet the crowds coming in and encouraging them to visit different parts of the park.  I always see events that the kids would love and try to point them out to the families as they come in.  The purpose of the event is one that we're really behind (teaching families to live a healthier lifestyle) so I just get excited about greeting the people as they come in.

Sunday was full as well.  Church in the morning and we had a Sunday School picnic right after service at a local park.  The kids were excited to get out and play with their friends and it's always nice to spend time with the other parents.  It's just a great chance to be encouraged and see who our kids are spending time with.

My kids love this park.  It's pretty open and they had lots of friends to play with so it was just a wonderful afternoon.  Busy full weekend, but lots of fun.
